The SSC JE 2022 application date is expected to be announced in August 2023. Candidates planning to give the SSC JE 2022 must meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting body. The maximum age limit varies from 27 years to 32 years based on the posts. The age limit for the current SSC JE Posts in different Departments/ Ministries/ Organizations as of January 1, 2022, are different, which have been mentioned below as a reference for the future:

  • Before applying, applicants must note that the Date of Birth as mentioned in the 10th class or Secondary Examination Certificate or any other similar certificate only will be accepted by the authorities. No subsequent request will be entertained for its change.
  • Aspirants must check the age limit for various posts under the SSC JE exam 2022 as well and apply to the posts accordingly.

The Age Limit Relaxation for various reserved categories are mentioned below:

SSC JE Eligibility 2023: Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either of the following:

  • A citizen of India, or a subject of Bhutan, or subject of Nepal.
  • A Tibetan refugee who shifted to India before the 1st January 1962 to settle permanently.
  • An Indian-origin candidate who has migrated from countries like - Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African Countries of Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Vietnam to settle permanently in India.

Ques. What is the minimum SSC JE 2022 eligibility criteria and application fee?

Ans. Candidates must possess an Engineering degree or Diploma to be eligible for SSC JE 2022 exam. The SSC JE application fee 100 INR.

Ques. Will I be eligible for the SSC JE exam in case I am a citizen of the United States of America?

Ans. You will have to comply with Citizenship Norms as mentioned above with an intention to settle in India permanently. Otherwise you are not eligible.

Ques. Is a working experience a necessity for the SSC JE 2022 exam?

Ans. A relevant work experience will always work wonders. But experience is generally required for diploma holders for certain posts.

Ques. I have a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from a well known University, am I eligible for the SSC JE exam?
