SSC CHSL Eligibility 2023: Nationality/Citizenship

To be eligible for SSC CHSL Exam 2023, candidate must be either of the following

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal, or Bhutan
  • A refugee of Tibet (China) who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention of settling permanently in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with an intention of settling permanently in India.

Note: All the candidates other than the citizens of India have to produce a certificate of eligibility. This will be issued by the government of India for such citizens. They will be employed only if they are able to produce that certificate before the authorities when demanded.

Age limit for SSC CHSL Exam has been set between 18 and 27 years as on January 01, 2023. It means that the candidate should have been born between January 02, 1995 and January 01, 2004.

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification as on January 04, 2023

Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard Exam or intermediate exam to appear for the SSC CHSL Exam from a recognized Board or University. The following table provides you the details of all the educational requirements.
