SSC CHSL Eligibility 2023: Nationality/Citizenship
To be eligible for SSC CHSL Exam 2023, candidate must be either of the following
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal, or Bhutan
- A refugee of Tibet (China) who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention of settling permanently in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with an intention of settling permanently in India.
Note: All the candidates other than the citizens of India have to produce a certificate of eligibility. This will be issued by the government of India for such citizens. They will be employed only if they are able to produce that certificate before the authorities when demanded.

Age limit for SSC CHSL Exam has been set between 18 and 27 years as on January 01, 2023. It means that the candidate should have been born between January 02, 1995 and January 01, 2004.

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification as on January 04, 2023

SSC CHSL Eligibility 2023: Physical Disability

Candidates are requested to go through the eligibility criteria carefully for a proper understanding of the required standards set by the SSC. Ans: Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary or Intermediate Exam to be eligible for SSC CHSL Exam, and must be of 18-27 years of age. They also need to satisfy the Nationality Criteria.
Ques. Can a candidate appear for the SSC CHSL Exam at more than 27 years of age?
Ans: Yes. Usually, the eligible age is 18-27 years. But for some reserved categories, there are age relaxations. Candidates belonging to such criteria can appear after 27 years of age.

Ans: The nature of the skill test depends upon the post one has applied for. If a post demands typing test, then it is necessary.

Ques. What is the syllabus for the SSC CHSL Exam?
Ans: SSC CHSL is an exam having three levels called Tiers. Tier 1 is a computer-based exam that asks questions based on Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. Tier 2 is a descriptive paper with questions on Essay/Letter/Application Writing. Tier 3 is either a typing test, or some other test depending upon the post that has been applied for.

Ans: Yes. In Tier 1 of the exam, a candidate will lose 0.50 marks for each incorrect attempt.
