The RRB eligibility criteria are specified by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). The criteria comprise of educational qualification, age limit, medical verification, and nationality. The application for the RRB JE Exam can only be performed once the eligibility criteria have been satisfied. Applicants must thoroughly read the RRB JE eligibility criteria prior to filing the application.

The age demanded to apply for RRB JE Recruitment is between 18 - 38 years.
applicants having a degree in the engineering field can apply for the examination.
Applicants must fit the Medical Test carried by the Railway Recruitment Board.
The eligible candidates who will apply successfully will be able to download the RRB JE Admit card.

Educational Qualification

RRB JE Eligibility: Educational Qualification

The applicants must have the subsequent educational qualifications to qualify for the RRB JE eligibility.

Junior Engineer (JE)

An applicant must have a three-years Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Tools & Machining, Tools & Die Making, or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute

Junior Engineer (IT)

All applicants need to possess any of the following qualifications such as

PGDCA
B.Sc. (Computer Science)
BCA
B.Tech. (Information Technology)
B.Tech. (Computer Science)
DOEACC ‘B’ level course of three years duration or equivalent.

Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)

Applicants need to complete a three-year Diploma in Engineering from any govt. Affiliated university or equivalent.

Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)

Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks

Note:

Applicants who are yet to obtain their degree are not qualified to apply.
Applicants in their last semester are not qualified to apply.
Applicants can not opt for various RRB JE posts. A particular post can only be selected during the application process.

RRB JE Nationality

RRB JE Eligibility Nationality

According to the RRB Exam eligibility, a candidate must have the following Nationalities:

A citizen of India
A subject of Bhutan or Nepal
A Tibetan Refugee (who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently live in India)
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Uganda, Burma, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Zaire, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with to permanently live in India.

RRB JE Eligibility Medical/Documentation Certification

Applicants to meet the Railway JE eligibility need to pass the required physical fitness test carried by the Railway Administration to make certain that they are medically fit to carry out the duties concerned to the post chosen by them.

The medical standards to meet RRB exam eligibility set by the RRB are mentioned below:

Note:

The above Medical Standards are to remain and are applied to each and every candidate
applicants who have undergone Lasik surgery or any surgical procedure to improve refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A3, B1, and B2.
Several other Medical Standards are applied to Ex-Servicemen as specified in Para 534 of Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) Volume I.

Applicants need to make sure that they satisfy the prescribed medical standards for the post(s) they are applying for. applicants who fail to qualify Medical Test for the specific post(s) shall not be given any other appointment.

Ques. I have completed my last semester but due to a backlog I haven’t received my certificate, so can I apply for the post?

Ans. No, applicants need to submit the specific degrees at the time of application. After receiving the degree apply for the same.

Ques. Are there any chances of selecting multiple exam groups?

Ans. No, a candidate is eligible to select only a particular post. However, applicants holding more than one educational qualification would be eligible for all the posts for which they hold educational qualifications.

Ques. Are there any eligibility criteria for the number of attempts?

Ans. As per the guidelines provided by RRB, there is no such eligibility for a candidate. However, there is a specified age limit mentioned for eligibility criteria. Therefore, applicants can only apply within the age specified.
