RPSC releases cut-off marks for all the examinations along with the results on the official website, just like the RPSC admit card and other notifications. They are important so that the students can calculate if they have qualified for the next level of examinations. The minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the exams are different for each category. Thus the list is very detailed and mentions each category separately.
However, the students need to know that the passing marks are different from the cut-off marks. The passing marks don’t change, and they only determine if the candidate is in or out of the race. Whereas, the cut-off marks change every year, and determine if the students can apply for the next exam or their selection for the vacancies in the administrative system.
