The application will be open only for unmarried male candidates so it is the most essential criteria for Indian Navy SSR AA Eligibility Criteria 2023. Applicants must be born between February 1, 2003, and January 31, 2006 (both dates included).
Interested applicants must have minimum qualifications for Indian Navy SSR 2023 AA Recruitment, however, the criteria for Apprentice Artificer (AA) and Upper Secondary Recruitment (SSR) will be slightly different as shown below.
Qualification criteria for AA: Candidates wishing to apply for the Apprentice Artificer (AA), must have passed the 10+2 exam with 60% overall marks in Mathematics and Physics, with at least one of these subjects Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology.
Qualification criteria for the SSR: Candidates wishing to apply for the Recruits of Upper Secondary (SSR), must have passed the exam 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics, with at least one of these subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer science.
The candidates who are eligible and have successfully applied will be called for the written exam and PFT. Those who qualify will appear for the Physical and Visual tests. The details of each stage are given below.

Qualification for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is compulsory for selection.
PFT consists of a 1 mile run in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak), and 10 push-ups. Applicants who undergo PFT will do so at their own risk.
Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance on the written examination subject to the Qualifying Physical Aptitude Test (PFT), as follows:
(a) AA - Top 600 candidates (approx) in All India Orders of Merit, which meet the eligibility criteria for the AA, will receive a reminder letter for the final enrollment medical examination at INS Chilka.
(b) SSR - Approximately 2,500 applicants will receive an invitation letter for the final medical examination for enrollment at INS Chilka based on state merit.
Note: Scores for issuing the reminder letter for the INS Chilka Final Enrollment Medical Examination may vary from state to state for SSR entry.

Indian Navy SSR AA Medical Rules
The medical examination will be carried out by authorized military doctors according to the medical rules prescribed by the legislation in force applicable to seafarers on entry.
Minimum height 157 cm. The weight and the chest must be in proportion. Minimum breast expansion of 5 cm. Minimum height standard details for entry into the Indian Navy as a sailor, including any applicable relaxations, are available on the official website.
The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect which might interfere with the effective performance of duties both on land and afloat under conditions of peace and war by the Order of the Navy (Special)

Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos are only allowed on the inner side of the forearms i.e. from the inner side of the elbow to the wrist and on the opposite side of the palm or back (dorsal) of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable, and applicants will not be able to hire.
