Syllabus for APPSC Prelims Group I

The APPSC Group I Prelims exam will have two objective-type papers. The detailed syllabus for the same is presented below:

Paper 1 – General Studies

• Indian History and Culture
• Indian Constitution, Social Justice, Polity, and International Relations
• Indian and Economy and Planning of the state
• Geography

Paper 2 – General Aptitude

• General Mental and Psychological Abilities
• Science and Technology
• Latest Events of Regional, National and International importance

The General Studies paper is further divided into four parts.

The History and Culture part will have:

• The Indus Valley Civilization
• Modern Indian History
• Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian history.

All the test takers have to get basis and detailed understanding of the Indian Constitution and its main roles.

In the Economy section, issues related to India and specific state-related problems will be asked.

Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations section include:

• Indian Constitution
• Its features, establishment, etc.
• Fundamental Rights and its duties
• Directive Principles of State Policy,
• Changes, its importance, and Basic Structure.

Indian and Andhra Pradesh Economy and Planning

This section includes all the topics which are linked to the economic activities in the country and in the state as well. A few of the topics include:

• Economy of the country
• Macro and Micro Economics
• Latest Budget
• Surveys
• Indian Banking System
• Economic strengths of the AP’ Economy
• Budget of the state
• Planning in India
• Five Year Plans

Geography section

In this section, candidates have to improve their skills on the topics related to:

• Geography
• Why Physical features of India is important
• Global Geography
• Physical features of the state
• Demography of Andhra Pradesh
• Demography of the country

General Aptitude Paper

The General Aptitude paper has a huge course and in addition to preparing for maths and administrative abilities, candidates must be well-versed with the latest Science and Technological developments in the state.

The General Mental Ability, Administrative and Psychological Abilities
