People were organized into two different groups, educationally trained bakers and informally trained bakers. Across the two groups, size and number of chocolate chips were compared to see if there was a difference between the groups where N=10 for each group. With the assumption that larger cookies with more chocolate chips are better cookies, we asked the following research question: Will educationally trained bakers make better chocolate chip cookies than bakers who are informally trained. For the analysis SPSS was used to conduct an Independent samples T-test. In comparing the number of chips, p-value was calculated at, p=.029, therefore we reject the null hypothesis meaning the mean number of chips in group 2 (educationally trained bakers) was significantly different than the mean number of chips from group 1.
